Fabada Asturiana – Unique sauces to keep your taste buds moving

If you feel boring with the long list of dishes, leave it now because you have other things to add spice in your Spain tour which is Fabada Asturiana. It is a heavy dish for winter season which takes off the cold instantly.

Fabada Asturiana is a heavy, hot and delicious dish of sausages and beans which appeared from Asturia region on the northwest coast of Spain. Now, this Spanish dish has become world popular dish which you can have in your lunch specially with red wine and crusty bread. You can enjoy with this dish throughout Spain.

Required ingredients:

Dried beans which should be soaked overnight

Garlic, water, Serrano ham, chorizo or other garlic sausages

Morcilla or other blood sausages, Saffron, Paprika

Pepper and salt

How to prepare?

1. Keep the white beans in the water whole night

2. Put the onions, garlic, salt pork and soaked bean in a large pot and add cold water to cover it.

3. Boil all the ingredients over the medium flame for an hour but the ingredients should always be covered with the water. So, you can add more water if it is required.

4. Fry the garlic, onion, saffron and paprika for a few minutes, add the fried beans, peppers and salt and mix it carefully let it cook for 20 minutes.

5. Now add the meats with sausages and other ingredients and let it cook for more 30 minutes.

6. Remove the meats from the pot, make it small pieces. Now you can enjoy Fabada with crusty or corn bread.

Fabada will be your best friend to enjoy the winter vacation in Spain which add more spices in your lunch as well as in your trip. You never feel cold during your stay if you go for the Fabada dish which you can get in any restaurant in Spain.
